I would like to share my best experiences during my
stay in America. I went to many places while I
stayed there, for instance, Downtown Seattle, The
Museum of Flight, Green Lake and so on. Everyone
I met helped me make good memories.

My favorite place was Downtown Seattle. There, I
went to the Gum Wall at first and saw the world’s
dirtiest sightseeing spot. Then I went to the comic
book store and the first Starbucks shop. I bought
NARUTO’s card and an original Starbucks cup.
After that, I went up the Space Needle. I was
frightened because of its height.

I also joined a volunteer activity in Northwest
Harvest. When I volunteered at Northwest Harvest, I
learned that there are many people who can’t buy
their own food. I put a lot of rice into plastic bags. We
bagged 6,000pounds. That was 4,615meals.

Spending time with my host family was also
memorable. When I met my host family for the first
time, I was very nervous. But I gradually felt relaxed
and comfortable when I saw them. Their
grandchildren visited us every day, and we enjoyed
ourselves by chatting together all the time. So I
could easily open up to my host family and their
grandchildren. Their grandchildren and I swam in the
pool and played Frisbee. I also watched movies with
my host family every night. For example, we saw
Mission Impossible, Hunger games, Terminator and
Rocky,,,

and . I especially liked Rocky

which is a famous boxing movie. Why did I like this
movie? Because even when he lost a match, he
never gave up. He practiced hard and as a result he
could win the match. I could get energy by watching
Rocky. My host family and I often played UNO. I
also treated them to a Japanese dinner which was
Vinegar rice and Miso soup. My host family was very
pleased, so I was very happy. I taught Japanese
numbers to their grandchildren. They said “I
mastered Japanese numbers” so I smiled. I had a lot
of happy experiences. I would like to thank my host
family and their grandchildren.

Before I came to America, I was very nervous. My
host father, mother, grandchildren and teacher took
care of me nicely so I could feel relaxed during my
stay in the US. I learned many things through this
homestay. I thought I could grow up. I had a really
good experience there in America.
